One of our most memorable projects — two art galleries in Neve Tzedek, Tel Aviv. This was our first project of this kind in Tel Aviv, and a space built to exhibit artists' work immediately dictated its own rules: here, drywall works not just as a partition, but as part of the exhibition itself.
Storefront windows with custom stands
For the galleries' storefront windows, we built custom drywall stands for the exhibits — not just a flat wall, but three-dimensional structures designed around specific artworks. These podiums and niches let an exhibit read from the street, even before entering the gallery.
Zoning the space
We also used drywall to build separate utility rooms inside the gallery — a restroom and a staff kitchenette. This is a classic but critical job for drywall: carving out functional zones without loading the space with heavy walls, especially in a rented or historic building.
The main event: precise contrast painting
The most valuable part of this project wasn't the drywall itself, but what came after it. The walls were painted in a sharp contrast of black and white, with perfectly straight, precise lines between the colors. This kind of paint job forgives no mistakes — any uneven line immediately stands out against the contrast. We executed it with total precision, and as a result the gallery walls became not just a backdrop, but a real canvas for the artist's work.
That's exactly the job of premium drywall and painting in a space built to exhibit art: they need to be flawless and invisible at the same time — so all the attention goes to the exhibits, not the walls.
Our experience
Projects like this aren't a typical apartment renovation — they're a space where every line and every angle matters. Here, drywall becomes as much a design tool as paint or light, and precision of execution is what ultimately shows up in every photo of the exhibition.
